Identity plays an important role in this work. The internet is used as a research place for images of people not known to the artist. These images are cut up, changed and exchanged to create a completely new identity / person. A narrative about the new identity’s life is created in one’s mind through the painstaking process of drawing and hopefully looking. The objective is too to beautify old age and elevate longevity and experience over good looks.
